First introduced as the 1980 GSX1000S Katana styled by Hans Muth, the GS1100E enjoyed more subdued styling and was the "Motorcycle of the Year' from 1981 through 1983, faster and more comfortable than everything else on the road. The GS1100E was the first large production liter plus bike designed with 16 valve cylinder heads and Suzuki's patented Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber (TSCC). The GS1100E is Suzuki's punched out liter bike using the first generation of the GSX engines that led to the GSXR racers that literally cleaned up on the race track. Up for sale is a super nice GS1100E in maroon. These bikes are rare and finding 1 that has survived to this extent is seldom. All paint, and finishes,etc are all factory original and spotless. The only visible flaws are a small hair-line crack on the chain guard just ahead of the rear guard mount and slight fraying to the lower edge of the vin tag decal. Storage preparation was done correctly and was obvious. Fuel system was inspected and was actually very nice. Prior to initial start up when brought out of storage included an extensive pre-lube process on the engine. It had been covered as well as having the fuel drained. This bike has been stored since approx 1991. The odometer is actual and is apparent by the overall condition. Tires are not weather checked but are still obviously old rubber. Possibly one of the finest examples you may come across. Original unrestored bike right down to the original tires.
